As a managing partner, Lisa sees a need to ensure that our clients see us as their business partner and not as just a legal service provider. Our aim is to provide innovative legal solutions for our clients across Asia with a high level of service and support that will help our clients better manage and succeed in their own businesses.

Lisa believes it is important that our lawyers understand the sectors in which they work. She has been involved with healthcare, oil and gas, manufacturing, engineering, distribution, trading, exhibition, publishing, food and beverage and leisure and entertainment companies on a range of issues. She also regularly works with private equity and venture capital companies and funds.

She was one of two representatives for Asia on the board of directors (2016 to 2021) and was Chair Asia Pacific Region (2018 to 2021) in Interlaw, an international association of independent law firms found in 150 cities worldwide.   She has been an independent director of companies listed in Singapore, Hong Kong and Nasdaq as well as private companies such as Sunseap Group Pte Ltd and Eagle Eye Centre Pte Ltd.  She is a current independent director of Swan & Maclaren Group Pte. Ltd.

Subra’s practice has been primarily in the field of commercial litigation and arbitration. He heads the firm’s International Arbitration and Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure teams.

He has had an active commercial litigation practice for the last 33 years, he regularly advises and represents publicly listed companies, multi-national corporations and high net worth individuals in a variety of corporate and commercial disputes in the High Court and the Court of Appeal in Singapore.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. As an accredited Arbitrator and experienced Arbitration counsel, he has also advised and represented clients from the Middle East, China, India, France, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia in numerous international cross border arbitrations under the SIAC, ICC, HKIAC, LCIA and CIETAC Rules.

Soo Ling’s main areas of practice are intellectual property and dispute resolution. She has experience in a diverse range of matters such as building construction, company law, commercial law, disciplinary proceedings, employment law, family law, intellectual property, property law, probate & administration and shareholder disputes.

As head of the intellectual property team, she manages a team that ensures that the intellectual property rights of our clients are protected around the world. She is also deputy head of the Dispute Resolution team.

Raymond specializes in litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution and has acted in many cases in the High Court, Appellate Division and Court of Appeal in Singapore.

He is well- versed in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation matters, including those involving contractual disputes, building and construction law (including arbitration and SOPA claims), trade disputes, negligence (including medical claims), industrial accidents, directors’ duties, minority oppression, private banker/client disputes, shareholder disputes, corporate and partnership disputes, trade associations, trust and estate law, intellectual property rights, competition law (Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) investigations and enforcement for anti-competitive conduct as well as appeals to the Competition Appeal Board), labour law, restraint of trade, matrimonial disputes, probate and administration, defamation and other tortious actions.

Many are published cases, including a 2023 High Court judgment on a successful claim for rescission of a shareholders agreement and the consequent payment of damages for misrepresentations, an important 2014 Court of Appeal judgment on tortious liability at building sites and a judgment reported in the Straits Times dated 9 July 2016 on an employer represented by Raymond successfully defeating an unmeritorious personal injury claim by an employee, against the tide of many such cases. He also acted in a high-profile High Court trial (2023) and the appeal to the Appellate Division (2024), representing high net-worth Hong Kong clients suing a luxury watch investment fund.

Raymond also has an active criminal practice having successfully acted for many clients in cases involving police, traffic police, CID, CAD, CPIB, MOM, ICA, BCA, IRAS, CNB, Customs and other prosecutions. Many are published cases on culpable homicide, gang offences and weapon/firearms, sports corruption, sexual offences, employment offences, road rage and the distinction between rash and negligence in criminal prosecutions, including a 2019 CPIB case involving an employee of Keppel Shipyard as well as the full acquittal of his client in an MOM prosecution over causing the death of an employee at One Altitude at One Raffles Place, reported in the Straits Times on 2 March 2023.

He has also acted for clients in non-contentious work such as advising on and drafting commercial contracts, including those relating to construction projects, telecommunications, confidentiality and non-disclosure, business leases/tenancies, intellectual property rights, shareholders/partnership arrangements, constitutions of societies, trade and unincorporated associations, software/internet agreements (including crypto/NFT), employment (including stock options), distributorship / franchising, manufacturing, publishing, and advertising.

Prior to the merger with CNPLaw, Raymond was in private practice, becoming the founder and Managing Partner of Union Law LLP since 2014. Before entering private practice, Raymond served in the Legal Service as a Magistrate and Deputy Registrar in the State Courts and tutored part-time at the NUS Faculty of Law.

He is an independent director on the boards of Serial System Ltd and Wee Hur Holdings Ltd on the main board of SGX, as well as having served as independent director with Goodland Group Ltd (until mandatory retirement in 2025), 800 Super Holdings Ltd and SK Jewellery Group Ltd before they were delisted in 2020 and 2019 respectively, chairing the nominating and remuneration committees as well as serving in the audit committees.

Raymond has been active in community service and service to the nation since 1993, having volunteered in various capacities with MND, MINDEF, IMDA, MOH, MOE, ROM and PA. He was awarded the Public Service Medal (1998), Public Service Star (2008) and Public Service Star (Bar) (2025) in the National Day honours list. He also received the Meritorious Service Medal from the Peoples’ Action Party in 2022. He is a Deputy President of the Strata Titles Board of MND and still volunteers with IMDA, KTPH, PA, ROM as well as being the honorary legal advisor to various trade and merchant associations and Nan Hua Primary School.

Dr. William Wan, JP is a partner in CNPLaw, and a legal consultant, mediator and community leader. Called to the Bar in 1973, he built a storied general practice covering land reversion, multi-national corruption, minority oppression, defamation, criminal and capital cases and professional disciplinary tribunals.

He spent 25 years abroad in academia, community and church leadership before returning to private practice in a regional law firm, thereafter assuming corporate leadership in an American psychometric corporation. Subsequently, he served 13 years as General Secretary of the Singapore Kindness Movement before joining CNPlaw.

Educated at the University of Singapore, Regent, Carleton, Queen’s, and the University of Ottawa, Dr. Wan holds advanced degrees in law, theology, and counselling.  He is a Justice of the Peace, an accredited international mediator and psychometric analyst.  His honours include the Canadian Board of Police Commissioner’s Commendation, the Ontario Solicitor-General’s Award, the President’s Volunteerism and Philanthropy Award and lifetime achievement awards in community service.

He enhances every engagement with exceptional writing, public speaking and relationship-building skills. An author of 14 books on “matters of the heart”, he is a three-time TEDx speaker and guest lectured at NTU, SMU, NUS, SUSS, LKYSPP, RSIS and international forums.

Edwin’s experience is in litigation and arbitration proceedings, and estate planning.

He has experience in a diverse range of matters (including disputes between shareholders / joint venture partners), and has acted as lead counsel in disputes concerning equity and trust (involving resulting trust and common intention constructive trust), contentious probate, employment matters and in disciplinary proceedings (as prosecuting counsel). In the area of estate planning, he has extensive expertise advising on issues concerning Wills, application for Grant of Probate / Letters of Administration (including foreign domiciled deceased), and Lasting Power of Attorney.

Edwin was listed in the 2020 edition of Singapore’s 21 most influential lawyers aged 40 and under by the Singapore Business Review. Additionally, he was named as one of the SAF NSmen of the Year in 2022. Edwin has also been recognised as a Future Star for Private Clients by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific 2025

His notable experience includes acting as lead counsel where his clients successfully argued that the surviving joint owner of a commercial property was holding the said property on resulting trust on their behalf, before the General Division and the Appellate Division of the High Court, and the Court of Appeal. This matter received widespread media coverage.

Effectively bilingual, he has delivered seminars and webinars (in English and Mandarin) to and/or through various organisations, financial institutions, and news media on topics ranging from debt recovery to estate planning.

Daphne is a Partner of the firm. She helps clients resolve cases involving complex fact scenarios in corporate, commercial, and contractual disputes in various sectors, whether through litigation, arbitration, or mediation. As a trained mediation advocate, she actively explores the potential amicable resolution of disputes via “win-win” outcomes. In court and arbitration, her focus is to ensure her clients are well-informed and prepared for the risks involved.

Joel graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2013 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2015. Joel joined CNPLaw in 2017 and is in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team. He has experience in a diverse range of litigation and estate planning work including the drafting of wills and probate work. Joel also previously served as a volunteer on the Law Society’s Probate Practice and Succession Planning Committee.

Nicholas graduated from the University of Leeds in 2014 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2016. In recent years, he has focused on complex cross-border litigation, particularly company and shareholder disputes. He has worked with international clients and counsel from various countries such as Germany, France, Canada, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, China, and United Kingdom. In 2024, Nicholas was based in Germany where he met and discussed ongoing litigation matters with European clients.

Nicholas has obtained certifications in the area of information and data privacy. In 2025, he obtained the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certification, which is an international accreditation in privacy program management. He is also a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Nicholas also obtained certification in Digital Assets and Intellectual Property Disputes. In 2017, he obtained the Certificate of Proficiency in hands-on data protection officer training.

Arjun is an associate in the Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure Projects Practice Group. He graduated from the University of Durham in 2021 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2023.

Prior to joining the firm, Arjun practised in the areas of civil and commercial litigation as well as Corporate Finance and has acted for clients from different industries including the hospitality and aviation sectors and has also provided pro bono legal assistances for criminal cases under the Law Society Criminal Aid Scheme.

Keagen is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2022 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2023. His main areas of practice include commercial contracts, corporate restructuring, construction, and general litigation.

In particular, he has experience advising companies on a wide range of corporate matters, including the conduct of legal due diligence and reviewing and drafting various types of contracts (e.g. non-disclosure agreement, collaboration agreement, sale and purchase agreement, construction contracts).

As regards dispute resolution, he has represented construction firms in legal proceedings under the Building & Construction Industry Security of Payment Act (Singapore).

Silas is an Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He graduated from Singapore Management University and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2024. Specialising in commercial and civil litigation, Silas is committed to providing well-considered and strategic solutions to complex legal issues. With a client-centric approach, he strives to understand each client’s objectives and work towards practical and effective resolutions.

During his university days, Silas was an active student leader and participated in several moot competitions. He was also a dedicated rugby player, an experience that significantly contributed to developing his teamwork and collaborative skills. Outside the office, he finds balance in capturing the world through his camera lens or unwinding with friends over a cold pint of beer.
