GET TO KNOW HAZEL
Hazel is a Senior Associate with the Corporate Advisory team. Her main areas of practice include cross-border M&A, joint ventures, private equity and general corporate advisory.
Hazel has advised various companies ranging from tech start-ups to blue-chip MNCs. She has also worked with government agencies and was previously lead in-house counsel for the Brunei Ministry of Defence on international public procurements.
Hazel is qualified to practise in Singapore and was admitted as a Barrister-at-Law in England & Wales in 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Durham University and a Master of Laws from BPP Law School in London. Originally from Brunei, Hazel is bilingual in English and Malay.
Some of her notable deals which she has been involved in include:
- Acting for the sellers in a 100% divestment of equity interests in a Singapore manufacturing company.
- Advising a Bruneian government agency on the acquisition of a fleet of aircraft.
- Advising a Singapore distributor on its joint venture with a large Indonesian market player.
- Advising a regional start-up on its series A fundraising from global VCs.
