Dr. William Wan, JP is a partner in CNPLaw, and a legal consultant, mediator and community leader. Called to the Bar in 1973, he built a storied general practice covering land reversion, multi-national corruption, minority oppression, defamation, criminal and capital cases and professional disciplinary tribunals.
He spent 25 years abroad in academia, community and church leadership before returning to private practice in a regional law firm, thereafter assuming corporate leadership in an American psychometric corporation. Subsequently, he served 13 years as General Secretary of the Singapore Kindness Movement before joining CNPlaw.
Educated at the University of Singapore, Regent, Carleton, Queen’s, and the University of Ottawa, Dr. Wan holds advanced degrees in law, theology, and counselling. He is a Justice of the Peace, an accredited international mediator and psychometric analyst. His honours include the Canadian Board of Police Commissioner’s Commendation, the Ontario Solicitor-General’s Award, the President’s Volunteerism and Philanthropy Award and lifetime achievement awards in community service.
He enhances every engagement with exceptional writing, public speaking and relationship-building skills. An author of 14 books on “matters of the heart”, he is a three-time TEDx speaker and guest lectured at NTU, SMU, NUS, SUSS, LKYSPP, RSIS and international forums.
