About Indonesia
Indonesia, the most populous nation in Southeast Asia, boasts a thriving economy with a population of over 282 million individuals. Despite the adverse impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Indonesia’s economy is recovering, with GDP growth projected at 4.9% – 5.2% in the year 2023. Singapore, a long-standing foreign investor and trading partner of Indonesia, has sustained strong economic ties through several bilateral agreements such as the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (FTA), the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTA), and the Singapore-Indonesia Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT).
