Corporate staff play a strategic role at CNPLaw

Published date: 10 December 2019

Announcing The Matter: Lisa Theng and Pradeep Kumar Singh.

CNPLaw’s Managing Partner, Ms Lisa Theng, and Admin Partner, Mr Pradeep Singh were featured in the Asian Legal Business; ALB Asia November 2019 edition. In this edition, the two partners gave their thoughts on the role that non-lawyers play at CNPLaw, and how they plan to expand non-legal roles in the firm in the future.

At CNPLaw, the paralegals, legal executives and legal secretaries possess planning and organisational skills to assist the lawyers to run their practices smoothly. Whereas, the staff in HR & admin, IT, marketing and finance are actively contributing to the strategic planning and business development of the firm.

Besides viewing its non-legal staff as valuable members of the firm, CNPLaw believes that a successful law firm of the future must adopt a multidisciplinary, holistic approach in delivering legal services.  For example, technology has improved the efficiency of the firm’s admin processes and has enabled the firm to develop new capabilities to provide legal services.
