The team that advised the client: Bill Jamieson and Lai Zheng Yong
CNPLaw LLP acted as the lender’s counsel on Singapore law in reviewing and drafting the security documents from Guardian Geomatics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., as guarantor of its parent company Guardian Geomatics Pty Ltd as the borrower from Bankwest as the lender, for the purpose of the provision of (i) a Bankwest Corporate MasterCard and (ii) a Bankwest Bank Guarantee Contingent Instrument Facility to the borrower. As part of the finance arrangements, we reviewed the guarantee and indemnity in favour of the lender, drafted and registered a fixed and floating charge of all the assets of the guarantor as security for the borrower’s obligations to the lender and provided a legal opinion to the lender.
Guardian Geomatics is an Australian owned company, established in 2018 to service the offshore oil, gas and renewable markets in Australia and Asia Pacific with geophysical and hydrographic surveys and positioning services.
Partner Bill Jamieson and associate Lai Zheng Yong assisted Bankwest on the matter.
