CNPLaw LLP (“CNP”) is pleased to welcome Mr. Aaron Lee as Of Counsel, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in regulatory law, financial compliance, and fintech services. Aaron brings with him over 20 years of experience as a cross-border lawyer, covering banking, payments and licensing. Since 2017, he has been advising fintech start-ups as well as multinational companies in the payments services industry as well as those with emerging technologies such as blockchain and AI. He has been appointed to give expert testimony in a number of Singapore court cases involving banks and financial crime.

Prior to joining CNP, Aaron has worked in the civil service and various financial institutions overseeing governance and compliance and investigating financial crime and misconduct. Since 2016, he has been advising fintech firms on the whole spectrum of their compliance requirements. Aaron is also a published writer, conference speaker, trainer and community organiser.

“Aaron’s appointment underscores our ongoing commitment to providing our clients with commercially attuned and expert legal advice,” said Lisa Theng, Managing Partner of CNP. “His depth of experience and industry insight will be a tremendous asset to both our team and our clients.”

Aaron will be working closely with various practice groups to provide strategic counsel and support on matters that require senior-level expertise, particularly in financial services.
