CNPLaw LLP (“CNP”) formerly known as Colin Ng & Partners LLP, is proud to announce that partner Mr Quek Li Fei spoke at Blocfest Conference, a Southeast Asia International Blockchain event, held in Kuala Lumpur (KL), Shangri-La Hotel on 27th September 2018.

As part of the KL Blockchain Week, the 2-day Blocfest Conference invited thought leaders from around the world to speak at the panel sessions and expert talks.
At the conference, the team presented a paper Legal Considerations for launching Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) in Singapore. The presentation gave an overview of cryptocurrency and initial coin offerings regulations in Singapore which highlighted important factors for ICO aspirants planning to launch a token generation event in Singapore, including the choice of jurisdiction, clarity of thought, the importance of getting appropriate legal (and tax advice), paying attention to all relevant details, having a good roadmap and robust business plan, working with intermediaries, the quality of the whitepaper; and endeavouring to set a yardstick in this industry.
