Event Speaker: Amit Dhume.
CNPLaw’s Amit Dhume spoke at the recent conference on Financial Services Law and Regulation in Singapore organised by the National University of Singapore (“NUS”) Faculty of Law. The conference was organised in conjunction with the publication of the Handbook on Financial Services Law and Regulation in Singapore published by Academy Publishing. The handbook brings together leading practitioners and academics in Singapore in the area of financial sector regulation. The conference covered areas including banking, insurance, securities and derivatives, financial advisory, fintech and alternative financing and sought to explore common threads that exist between them.
Amit together with Professor Alexander Loke, Professor at City University of Hong Kong, provided a presentation on the chapter which they have co-authored in relation to “Hedge Funds: Regulation and Structuring” at the Conference. The chapter covers regulation of fund management, investment fund structures, regulation of offers of funds, marketing and tax incentives amongst others.
