Soo Ling’s main areas of practice are intellectual property and dispute resolution. She has experience in a diverse range of matters such as building construction, company law, commercial law, disciplinary proceedings, employment law, family law, intellectual property, property law, probate & administration and shareholder disputes.

As head of the intellectual property team, she manages a team that ensures that the intellectual property rights of our clients are protected around the world. She is also deputy head of the Dispute Resolution team.

  • Acted for several foreign companies in enforcing a foreign arbitration award in relation to sale of company shares.
  • Acted for a local company in claims against a foreign company for breach of joint venture agreement for an infrastructure project overseas.
  • Acted for investors in claims against an international bank for losses suffered in purchasing structured products.
  • Acted for members of Committee of Persons and Estate to seek an account from other members.
  • Acted for a foreign company in an arbitration before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) in respect of a multi-million investment dispute with a major international bank.
  • Acted for a foreign company in commencing enforcement proceedings for injunctive reliefs and damages against a Singapore company.
  • Acted for a beneficiary in a contentious probate matter concerning assets worth multiple millions spanning several jurisdictions.
  • Acted for a minority shareholder in an action against majority shareholders for minority oppression under the Companies Act.

  • Advising multinational companies on employments issues relating to restrictive covenants, confidentiality, cessation of employment etc.
