  • Acted for DBS Bank Ltd., Labuan Branch (the "Lender") in relation to a S$75,000,000 revolving credit facility to NV Multi Corporation (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of NV Multi Asia Sdn Bhd in Malaysia, which is a pioneering company in the bereavement industry. The security for the facility included a Singapore law debenture and a Malaysian law assignment and charge over accounts. CNP was involved in reviewing the facility agreement and assignment and charge over accounts, preparing the debenture and Singapore law legal opinion and assisting with the completion of the transaction in Singapore. The Lender's Malaysian law counsel was Zul Rafique & Partners.

  • Advising Bitutank Pte Ltd and its subsidiary Ashgrove Shipping Company Limited, the borrowers, on various ship finance facilties for US$35m and related security.

  • Advised Hong Leong Bank on English law as well as the Singapore listing on its issue of US$300,000,000 3.75% Bonds due 2016. The Bonds are the first US dollar senior bond issue by a Malaysian bank.

  • Advised Singapore Mercantile Exchange (SMX) on its assessment of its compliance with initiatives aimed at improving the systemic risk management of markets which came from the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems and the International Organisation of Securities Commissions.

  • Advised a leading hedge fund manager on a proposed debt restructuring of a large cross-border business by means of a Singapore scheme of arrangement.

  • Documented various revolving credit facilities for over S$45 million for Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd.

  • Acted for DBS Bank Ltd, Labuan Branch in relation to a standby letter of credit facility of up to RM150 Million.

  • Advised Bank of China Aviation in relation to the financing and additional financing of two Aircraft Airbus A320-200 MSN.

  • Documented a US$30 million multicurrency revolving credit facility for the Singapore branch of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.

  • Documented a Japanese Yen 10 billion note programme to be privately placed in Japan for the issuer, a Singapore company.

  • Advising the purchaser, an international relocation and assignment management services firm, on the Singapore law aspects of a receivables financing totalling US$500 million and providing a "true sale" legal opinion.

  • Advising the controlling shareholder of Want Want Holdings Ltd. on the US$ 850 million financing of the delisting offer for the company's shares (CFO Asia Deal of the Year 2007).

  • Acted for Allco (Singapore) Limited as manager of Allco Commercial Real Estate Investment Trust (Allco REIT) and for subsidiaries of Allco REIT in relation to various qualifying debt security facilities aggregating over S$800 million from a number of Commonwealth Bank group lenders to fund the acquisition of various assets by the REIT and its subsidiaries in Singapore, Australia and Japan.

  • Advised Temion Capital Management on debt facilities of US$300 million and in connection with various investments including real estate in Japan through TMK (securitization) structure.

  • Acted for a syndicate of 24 banks in the third and final trache of unsecured ship financing facility of JPY 3 billion (total facility JPY 11.5 billion).

  • Advised Allco Singapore Investments on the secured debt financing for its investment in units of Allco Commercial REIT.

  • Advised an international bank on a loan to a Singapore subsidiary of YTL Corp to fund a housing development on Sentosa.

  • Acted for an international bank client on its credit facilities to Lehman Brothers and repercussions of the deteriorating credit and subsequent insolvency of Lehman Brothers.

  • Acted for a Singapore-headquartered corporate group (one of Asia's leading infrastructure development and facilities management professionals) in a S$150 million structured financing facility.

  • Advised Hong Leong Bank in connection with its US$ 200 million 5.24% subordinated bonds due 2015
