Colin Ng & Partners LLP acts for GuardTime in $8 Million Series A Funding


Colin Ng & Partners LLP advised GuardTime Holdings Pte. Limited ("GT") and its subsidiaries ("GT Group"), a group of companies at the cutting edge of digital evidence technology, in its recently concluded Series A funding of USD $8 Million to help roll out its global infrastructure for delivering its provable data integrity service.

The exercise has attracted investors including Horizons Ventures, a Hong Kong based investment fund focusing on early stage technology companies, Ambient Sound Investments, an investment fund formed by the founding engineers of Skype, Infocomm Investments Pte Ltd (IIPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) that complements IDA’s industry development efforts in Singapore with equity investments and FITOne Capital, a subsidiary of FIT-One Holdings, an IT startup business incubator in Japan and Joi Ito, CEO of Creative Commons, entrepreneur, and venture capitalist.

The transaction involved restructuring the GT Group, consolidation of the Group’s intellectual property in an IP holding company and infusion of capital by the investors.

Lawyers involved in the deal were CNP Partner Bill Jamieson and Foreign Associates Mathew Chacko and Liviu Diuzenus Petrina.
