Colin Ng & Partners LLP ranked in IFLR1000.
The 2010 edition of IFLR1000, The Guide to the World's leading Financial Law Firms published by the International Financial Law Review, has ranked Colin Ng & Partners LLP in the fields of Banking, Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Markets.
IFLR1000 described the firm as "often commended by clients for its capital markets work". An IPO client says: "The team showed great professionalism and dedication throughout the course of the engagement." Clients say the team "are able to provide proposals and solutions for the problems faced" in bringing a deal to market. Another client recommended Ong Wei Jin for his accessibility for any clarifications even way past office hours and was able to provide useful insights and solutions.
One M&A client commented that Colin Ng & Partners has a China team in addition to the Singapore practice, which allows them to quickly make decisions on which route to take and is able to advice on compliance issues within both territories.
The client adds: "More importantly, the advice given takes into account the commercial objectives of my organisation. I have worked with many law firms where at the end of the day it feels like we are providing all the solutions and the lawyers are only drafting documents. Working with Colin Ng & Partners has always resulted in creative ways to satisfy all parties within the confines of legal compliance and has helped bring many deals to a successful close."
"Lisa Theng and Colin himself are excellent during negotiations with potential vendors. I have worked closely with them and, if briefed properly, they are able to add substantially to the negotiations" reported another client.
The 2010 edition of IFLR1000 claims to be the only publication of its kind to focus on the leading law firms for corporate finance worldwide and the most thorough, deep and accurate coverage of the world's financial and corporate legal markets ever published. The rankings are based on complexity of deals, innovation, quality of client service and cross-border capability and the recommendations of in-house counsel at the world's most prominent financial institutions and companies, as well as the leading lawyers in each legal market.
