Interlaw 2015

INTERLAW ASIA PACIFIC MEETING 2015


Colin Ng & Partners LLP ("CNP") is proud to host the Interlaw Asia Pacific Regional Meeting from 4 to 8 February 2015 at the ParkRoyal on Pickering Hotel in Singapore. The theme of the meeting is "Asia Pacific Integration".


The meeting highlights include:


Discussion Forum for the delegates, an invited audience of clients and guest speakers to discuss the theme of "South East Asia - opportunities and challenges of economic integration". We will hear Eitaro Kojima, deputy managing director JETRO Singapore, Oliver Tonby, McKinsey & Company managing partner SE Asia and Deborah Elms at Asian Trade Centre share their views on factors key to the region's future in the context of the emergence of an integrated market within ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), the world's third most populous region, and one which attracted more FDI than China in 2013. Russell Wiese, partner at Hunt & Hunt, Interlaw firm in Australia, will offer insight to how a trade lawyer can help clients navigate some of this terrain. Henry Syrett, Ernst & Young Solutions LLP Operating Model Effectiveness leader for ASEAN will present tax strategies clients can use in integrating businesses across the region.


Launch of the Interlaw book on Renewable Energy, a subject the OECD has identified as of particular importance in the economic development of this region, which it projects to be exposed to the effects of climate change more than any other. Attendees at the forum will have opportunity to discuss some of the issues the book raises with the editor, Guy Block, Janson Baugniet, and contributors from the Interlaw firms represented. Special Business Team Sessions for practice areas such as Employment, Mergers & Acquisitions, Energy, Banking & Finance, Arbitration and Customs Trade Transportation & Logistics Competition & Distribution Law which will be led by the lawyers of Interlaw, including Annette Knoth (Arnecke Siebold, Germany), Kevin Zhu (Zhonglun W&D, China), Ooi Bee Hong (Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill , Malaysia), Maria Townsend & Russell Wiese (Hunt & Hunt, Australia) and Peter Tyksinski (Momo-o Matsuo & Namba, CNP partners and lawyers.
